Red Wings

I'm watching the Detroit Red Wings get their butts kicked in the Western Conference Finals against the Anaheim Ducks right now and have to say that I am very disappointed in the way they are playing right now. They are losing 2-0 with the second period almost over. The Ducks have been outplaying them throughout the whole game and the Red Wings just can't seem to get anything going but getting shot on. Everything is going wrong for them, including non-stop penalties which leaves the Red Wings playing with only 4 men the whole damn game.

FINAL Thoughts on Creative Writing Class

This year in creative writing I not only have I learned a lot about writing poetry, papers, movie scripts, and several other types of writing, I also had a lot of fun. The whole class atmosphere was what made the class not just a class. In all of my other classes, it consists of listening to a teacher lecture about a subject that we are supposed to be learning about and then doing homework on it, however in creative writing with Miss Eastman, she didn’t just teach us how to do our work, she actually showed us, by giving us examples of pieces of writing that she actually wrote. Miss E is the kind of teacher that loves doing her job and loves teaching/showing kids in high school how to apply it to real life. I was taught how to write several different types of poetry such as sonnet poems, open letters, pantoum poems, and also how to use blogs on the internet.

Even though I wasn’t always up to date on my blogging for the class credit, I still thought it was one of the coolest parts of the class because I have never done anything like that ever before in class, it taught me something new about computers, and also kept me up on technology. Even after the class is over, I still plan on continuing writing my blog entries and keeping in contact with Miss Eastman as well as other kids in my class.

Miss Eastman made me feel extremely comfortable in class right from the beginning of the year when she had everyone stand up on the desk and introduce themselves in front of the entire class. I must admit when we first began doing that I was a little weirded out by what was going on, but now that I look back on it I see that it was a great way to get to know everyone in the class as well as make everyone feel comfortable with each other. Miss Eastman knew at least one thing about everyone in every single one of her classes which I thought was extremely cool and sincere of her. No other teacher does that in any of my other classes that I have had at Walled Lake Central. To other teachers who teach at this school, it is just their job, but to Miss Eastman it isn’t just a job to her, it is her life and you can definitely tell from having her class for only one semester that she really loves what she’s doing and wants to keep doing it for a long time.

One of the most interesting projects that we did in creative writing class was the last project we did when we were assigned to make our own movie/television show inside and outside of school. I really enjoyed doing this project because it brought me and my group in class closer when filming the TV show outside of school. I loved how Miss Eastman showed me how to use Windows Movie Maker, which I had never even heard of before until she showed us. It is an amazing program which makes it extremely easy to make your own movies and edit different parts, as well as edit in your own music! Even though me and my group slacked quite a bit on our film we made, we took the extra couple days and got a lower grade and made it a pretty good movie. We really did work hard on the project; it just took us a while to get motivated to do it.

Throughout this whole semester I learned so much in creative writing class. I am so happy I decided to take the class and was able to have Miss Eastman as my teacher. Miss Eastman had a bond with every student in our class, and in the end wasn’t just a teacher, she was a friend. Creative Writing taught me more than any other stupid English class has with doing book reports or writing boring papers, and has turned out to be one of my all-time favorite classes. I want to thank Miss Eastman for making my last semester of my senior year the best semester of high school; I hope to stay in contact.

pistons are kickin ass in the 2007 eastern conference finals against the cleveland cavaliers. Hopefully they don't screw this one up and lose it cuz theyre the best team in the nba and deserve to win this. If they win this series against cleveland they will either play the san antonio spurs or the utah jazz for the championship... most likely the san antonio spurs.

3 more days left of school

only three more days left of school and i cant wait cuz the past few days ive been pretty sick and i just want school to be over so i can sleep in everyday and relax and start my summer early. The only thing i have to get going on is getting a job for the summer so i can be making a whole lot of money and hopefully get a new car

finals

only 4 more finals to go. i just finished my marketing final and hopefully i did pretty good. im just happy we dont have a creative writing final cuz i dont really feel like putting energy into taking another test that could mess up my grade

cinco de mayo

Hopefully cinco de mayo will be a nice little saturday. I usually go over to my sister's house and stay the night there with a bunch of my friends and have a nice little get together and stay up really late.

weekend

Today is finally the last day of the week and I haven't been this excited to be done with a week of school. I have accomplished going to school 2 weeks in a row without missing any days. Before these two weeks I had been missing way to much school and was falling behind on homework, so I have been really making an effort to go to school. This weekend there is a lot going on, tonight i reserved tickets for me and my girlfriend to go to see Spider Man 3, hopefully it will be pretty good.

Last blog before progress reports

Finally finished all the necessary amounts of blogs so that I am able to get a good grade on my progress report!! This time all of my blogs were done with more completeness and also with longer entries which miss eastman should appreciate. Not only are all of my blogs done, but all of my comments are in as well... i hope.

Today is Friday!!

Last day of the week today, and I'm going to that school dance tonight.. it better not be gay or ill be very upset. The bad thing about it being friday today is that all of our scripts are due and we dont exactly have all of ours done, but we should be able to have it all done by the end of class today. Also, all of our 32 blogs are due today; luckily I am much more on top of things when it comes to blogging this marking period and I don't have to feel nearly as rushed to finish all of them. The weather is also supposed to be quite nice this weekend so I'm looking forward to spending a lot of time outside and gettin some of my friends together to play some roller hockey at the park. Hopefully me and the rest of my group end up finishing our script and also that I finish the rest of my blogs and blog comments.

Script writing

Since everyone has been absent so often in our group, we had not started writing our script until just this tuesday on April 24. Today is thursday April 26 and I feel that our group has made enormous effort and progress. I really hope that our group pulls through and comes together to come up with 22 pages of script by friday so that we don't end up failing this entire project all together.

community service

This week is my last week that I have to do community service. I started out with 45 hours back in November and haven't been able to do any of them because I had hockey every day until february. Lately I have been kickin ass on doin my hours. I have 11 hours left and am working at the Salvation Army today (tuesday), wednesday, and thursday. I am extremely happy that I am almost finished becuase then I'll finally be free to start looking for jobs.

not enough blogs... again

progress reports go out this friday, which means that part of our blogs are due. Right now I'm at #27 and need to get up to 32 before friday comes around. It's going to be really hard considering how we have to have have around 20 pages of script by this friday. That is another thing that I am really starting to get worried about. I wasn't in school wednesday-friday last week and my group accomplished nothing. Today is going to be the day when we get tons and tons of pages typed up for our movie. 4 more blogs to go.

4/23/07 class blog

If i had a microphone and could make the whole world listen to me, I would say that i need someone to help me with all of the homework that i have piled up from last week. I have several homework assignments in every class and if i had the opportunity to make an announcement to the rest of the world, i would tell them that i am in need of a genius who can do all of the assignments in one day. The reason that i would make this announcement to the rest of the world is because i am really stressed out about the homework that is piled up. The rest of this week (monday-thursday) i have to do community service from 330-730 in order to finish up probation, and fear that i wont be able to accomplish both.

spring break

over spring break i went to cancun, mexico, it was definitely the best week of my life. hangin out by the pool and at the beach all day and just going to the clubs and drinking everynight, it was the life. That type of lifestyle isnt exactly cheap though, i spent over $500 in just 7 days of vacation; but it was completely worth the money.

creative writing class goal

A goal that i want to set for this class for the remainder of the year is to get an A in the class and to be more consistent in my blog entries. I plan on reaching this goal by thinking of what to write about more often and maybe even write blogs at home in my spare time. In the last marking period i was in an extreme panic in the last 3 days of the marking period because i had to write about 19 blogs and seemed to be fresh out of ideas. I'm going to try my hardest to get an A in the class because last marking period I had a B and wasn't satisfied with it at all. I know i could do better in this class because it's really not that hard. We just got new seats in this class and now i don't sit next to any of my boys; this may make it harder for me to think creatively of different things to write about.

spring break

spring break is comin up.. APRIL 7th i will be on my flight to cancun mexico for a whole week. I havent been on a vacation in about 3 years so im pumped to get to go out of country. The best part about it is no parents! its gonna be tightt. Another amazing thing about going to cancun is that the drinking age is 18, and i am definitely 18. im planning on doing whatever i want the whole week and just relaxing the whole time. There is one bad thing though; im defintely going to miss my girlfriend that whole time im gone and i know shes going to be worrying about me the whole time. I think things are going to be perfect though, i know what to do and what not to do.

community service

i have 45 hours of community service to do by april 30th, and i have been putting it off until the last minute. So this past week i went in on monday, wednesay, and thursday to get some hours in. I now have 10 hours done and only 35 more to go!!

i must say that community service is the BIGGEST waste of time i have ever spent, and is completely pointless. But i still have to get those hours done. Once i am finished with those hours i will most likely be able to get off probabtion a few months early, i cannot wait.

third lunch

its the middle of third hour and i am starving. I hate third lunch.

science meap test

this morning, instead of going to first hour i had to retake the science meap test for the second time. It took me about two hours and was extremely boring. I dont know how i didnt pass that test the first two times, i found it to be really easy, probably because i took my time on it. I knew that the more time i took on it, the more class i would get to miss so it all worked out.

blog commenting

so i just finished all of my blog commenting, i should have well more than 12 out of everyones. I don't think everyone put checks next to my name on commenting because i had to do it after everyone was already done checking it. Today has been a very busy day for me in class, i've been working hard, and am reallllllllly hoping to get full credit on blog entries and blog comments. By friday i am definitely planning on having over 24 blog entries, i might just throw a couple extras in there to show off a little bit.

the other day i received 10,654,869,033,587,715 on winterbells. When i wrote that out i thought it was 10 trillion but today i found out that it was 10 quadrillion. I didn't even know that was a number until now...

weights class

today in weights class it was extremely boring and i was very tired and did not feel like working out, so i walked out of the weights room and walked down to the gym and started playing some volleyball. Apparantly, Mr. xxxxxxxx does not approve of that what so ever so at the end of class he came down to the gym and told me to come over to him. He told me that i wasn't allowed to do that and made a big deal and lectured me about it. He said "what if someone came down to the weight room looking for you?" and "your lucky i didn't write you up for skipping". As i walked away i was pretty pissed off and responded "how is that skipping if i am right down the hall?" He had no response because he does not know anything at all.

YAYYYY!!

I'm so happy i only have 10 more blogs to write by the end of today in class. I've really stepped up my creative writing game and gotten what needs to be done. I have made such an improvement that I feel I desserve some type of extra credit.

All of the blogs that I have written in the past few days to catch up have been very thorough and have been quite lengthy. The reason i have been able to type so much is because i can type so fast. Going through the laptop program in middle school really helped my typing abilities and computer knowledge.

marketing B.A.

i am taking the marketing benchmark assessment right now and i am having a whole lot of trouble remembering the material that was on the study guide that we received this last friday. I honestly feel that i failed. After taking the test i regret not putting more effort into studying for this test that will most likely bring my grade down to a B. Next test we have ill try and study more... perhaps.

what should we do on our half day?

As everyone knows, tomorrow is a half day, which means that we should not be doing any work at all. Though i know i have 13 more blogs to write by Wednesday, i think that a good idea for something to do tomorrow in this 6th hour Creative Writing class is to be able to play games the whole class so we can all just relax and take a break from writing. Hopefully my hopes will come true and we will be able to just chill in this class and do as we please tomorrow.

half day tomorrow!!

tomorrow is tuesday March 19, 2007 and is a very special day. The reason tomorrow is such a special day is because it is a half day. Here at Walled Lake Central, there are never anymore half days because they decided to start school later after summer and make school longer by 7 minutes so it evens out to just as much school as before. Tomorrow is going to be pointless to have school because the kids here at Central bought teachers in the "teacher auction", and 4 of my 6 teachers got bought therefore we arent going to do anything in those classes. The other one of my classes is weights, therefore there is only 1 class that we are actually doing work in tomorrow on the half day. I feel that half days are pointless because you still have to wake up at 6 in the morning and go to school, and end up doing nothing; the day is over at 1030 which is around the time that i would wake up if we didnt even have school. Bottom line is..... half days are pointless

miss eastman lost my high score

Since i have so many blogs to continuously write in this class, i decided that i needed a bit of a break in between them. I made up my mind that in between each blog that i write that i would play one game of Winterbells to relax my brain. After writing my second blog i clicked over to the other window of Winterbells and began playing. I was "in the zone" as max said and had finally gotten not only over 1 billion but to 2 billion and was still going strong.

With the new FANCY technology that the teachers have at school now they are able to freeze your computer or close out of any game the students are playing. During my amazing game, where i had gotten the highest score ive ever gotten, miss eastman thought it would be a good idea to close out of the game that i was playing, which caused me to lose my high score and break my heart.

Literary Figure Project

For my literary figure project, me and my partner Max decided to do ours about the writer of the movie "Saw" who's named is Leigh Whannell. I thought this would be a very interesting person to do our project on because he as well as writing the movie "Saw", he also wrote other movies such as Saw II, Saw III, and his most recent movie Dead Silence which comes out this weekend.

Today is March 19, 2007 and i just found out that i need to write 18 blogs by wednesday March 21. I know that this is going to be EXTREMELY hard but if i focus on writing, i feel i can accomplish this goal. I think that if i complete this goal that i should receive some sort of medal, or maybe some extra credit because that is a whole lot of typing and thinking. I would type blogs at home, but my computer at home is incredibly slow and i never feel like using it. I'm thinking about buying a computer for my room so that i do not fail this class due to not writing enough blogs. With one blog down that leaves 17 more to go!!!

stupid cell phone

i would like to start off by saying to everyone to NOT get the Verizon Wireless chocolate cell phone. I have had that phone for about a year have had to get a new one 3 times since then. Even though Verizon Wireless has given me a new one each time for free, the phone is still seems to break even without damaging it.

I go through around 6,000 text messages each month and after a couple of months of having my phone for the first time the crappy cell phone would just shut completely off almost every time i closed it. Contacting Verizon Wireless bout this problem they agreed to give me a new phone but not a new battery. After about 3 days of having the new phone with the same battery the phone continued to shut off almost every time i closed the phone. By this time i was pretty much furious so i called Verizon Wireless and they agreed to send me another completely brand new phone so i agreed.

Before the phone came in the mail i went to the store and dropped $60 on a brand new extended battery for my phone and has finally been working good for almost a month now

bottom line do not purchase a Verizon Wireless Chocolate cell phone

hockey- central vs. northern

As some people know, i'm on the central varsity hockey team. Last week we played Walled Lake Northern for the first time this year. It was a huge game and tons of people went. Northern's a really good team this year and has a better record than Central does. The team knew it was gonna be an extremely difficult game but our coach let us know who the team's best players were so throughout the whole game we were watching out for those few players.

I'm #10 and play defense so if you happen to go to any of the games make sure to look for me. I got quite a bit of playing time against Northern and the game started off pretty even. Even though Northern got the first goal of the game, the team knew we could play and keep up with Northern. I was afraid that when Northern scored their first goal that we were going to get intimidated and not be able to score or play very well for the rest of the game, but man was I wrong...

Later in the first period we got our first goal which tied the game at 1-1. Once we got this goal not only the team, but all of Central's fans got really pumped up. The first period ended and we all went to the locker room before the second period started. Coach let us all know how good we were playing and to keep up the good work.

Winning this ice hockey game was extremely important because Northern is our second biggest rivalry. In a couple of weeks on February 2, we play Northern again for the second biggest game of the year, because it was for the "Medieval Cup". Earlier in the year we played Walled Lake Western for the "City Cup", which was the biggest game of the year which we won earlier in the year. We all knew that playing Northern for the "Medieval Cup" was going to be much more difficult than it was playing Western.

The second period was winding down and nobody ended up scoring throughout the whole period. The third period started and about halfway through our team scored with a slapshot from the blue line which really fired up the fans and our team. We knew all we had to do was get the puck past center ice and dump it in to win the game, however Northern wasn't ready to give up yet. With about 3 minutes left in the game, Northern ended up scoring off of a rebound, which really shocked the whole team.

Even though we ended up tying Northern 2-2, the team and coach was still happy because we knew how good we played and how good of a team they were. We were all going to be ready for the next game against Northern for the "Medieval Cup", so we all weren't very upset.

I feel that being an orange really describes me well, i love playing games and am a very athletic/competitive person. The parts that i feel define me the best when i read about orange is when it talks about needing fun, excitement, and being a natural trouble-shooter. I get into a lot of trouble throughout my life, but i often feel that its just the need for me to have fun and live a fast and exciting life. When i get a full-time job after college i definately don't want a boring job where i do the same thing everyday, i want a job where I'm outside doing something different all the time and that really entertains me (and pays well too). In the description it talks about love and giving gifts that bring obvious pleasure to your loved one. This describes me so well, because i love buying presents for my girlfriend, especially for her birthday and around Christmas time. It gives me a kind of a good feeling about myself, like I've made the person i love's life better in some way. Very happy that I am an ADVENTUROUS ORANGE, I've lived my life to that description up until now and plan on living it that way for the rest of my life.
